Key responsibilities include:
1. Employment Verification: Ensure that Thai workers receive wages, overtime pay, and benefits in accordance with local laws and employment contracts. Represent Thai workers in filing complaints and pursuing legal action in cases of rights violations.
2. Protection and Assistance: Safeguard and assist Thai workers in securing their rights under the Employment and Job Seeker Protection Act. This includes cases where Thai workers are deceived, abandoned, provided with jobs that do not match their contracts, or paid below the agreed wages.
3. Document Verification and Certification: Verify and certify employer documents requesting Thai labor to protect and prevent the exploitation of Thai workers. This includes verifying the existence of job positions, assessing workplace safety or risks, and ensuring that employment conditions meet minimum standards and requirements. Additionally, negotiate benefits on behalf of Thai workers.
Promote the Employment of Thai Workers
Key initiatives include:
1. Maintain and Expand the Thai Labor Market in Taiwan: Increase both the quantity and quality of Thai workers in Taiwan.
2. Expand Direct or State-Sponsored Labor Deployment: Facilitate the direct or government-sponsored deployment of Thai workers to reduce their employment-related costs.
3. Provide Information and Facilitate Employers: Clarify information about Thai workers, the hiring process, and provide assistance to Taiwanese employers and recruitment agencies to facilitate the employment of Thai workers.
