Executive Director Presents Congratulations to His Majesty the King on the Auspicious Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day – December 5, 2024

On December 4, 2024, Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, presided over a reception in honor of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day – December 5, 2024. The Executive Director led Mr. Tien Chung-kuang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, as the guest of honor, along with over 400 distinguished guests from various sectors in Taiwan, in offering their congratulations to His Majesty the King at the Mandarin Oriental Taipei.

The event featured key programs, including speeches by the Executive Director, Deputy Foreign Minister Tien Chung-kuang as the guest of honor, and Major General Fu Cheng-cheng, Deputy Minister of the Veterans Affairs Council. The reception also included performances of His Majesty King Bhumibol’s musical compositions by the band The Ping Rivery from Chiang Mai Province, as well as Thai contemporary dance and Muay Thai demonstrations by the Sabanga troupe from Chiang Mai.

Additionally, the Thailand Trade and Economic Office served Tom Yum Goong (spicy shrimp soup), which was recently inscribed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 4, 2024, to Taiwanese dignitaries. This showcased Thailand’s culinary culture, which is highly popular in Taiwan.
